Rwanda : Animal husbandry to become one of government priorities

The government of Rwanda is going to introduce a committee of animals’ health advisors so as to improve livestock rearing and the economy of Rwandans in general by preventing animals’ diseases and poor animal care.

Animal husbandry

This was said by the deputy director of Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) Mrs. Christine Kanyandekwe in the meeting the Ministry of Agriculture had with Local leaders in the eastern province of Rwanda.
Mrs. Christine Kanyandekwe said that this level will be established soon and they will be operating in the whole country and their responsibility will be to advice and help farmers in case it is needed.

This will boost the animal husbandry in Rwanda with livestock having healthy lives by being vaccinated and cared about any time, being fed well and they in return will give enough production and promote farmers.

This will increase the production from farming, milk production, meat and others while reducing their prices on the market and therefore improve people’s social and economical welfare in Rwanda.
